Who is Valeria?

Valeria Torres is a PhD candidate with a strong background in materials science and nanotechnology. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico). She completed her master’s degree in materials science in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program SERP+, studying in France, Portugal, and Italy.

Her passion for renewable energies grew during her master's thesis at Epishine, Sweden, where she honed her expertise in OPV devices. Her project consisted of integrating semi-transparent patterned metal electrodes into the company’s lamination process.

Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys learning new languages, arts and museums. She also enjoys nature, hiking and has practiced yoga and acroyoga for many years.

Valeria's goals with the project

Valeria is particularly excited about the EIFFEL project as it offers her a chance to enhance her OPV expertise and work alongside top experts. This aligns perfectly with her goals to contribute for a greener future and become a leader researcher in sustainable technologies.
