Doctoral candidates in EIFFEL
Who is Kashaf?
Kashaf Ahsan is a dedicated researcher from Pakistan with a strong background in applied physics. She holds a master’s degree in applied physics from Air University, Islamabad, where she focused on the synthesis and thermoelectric properties of bismuth telluride composites. Passionate about scientific exploration, she currently joined ICMAB in December 2024 as a PhD candidate honored to work on the exciting topic of microstructure, nanomorphology formation, and stability of norfullerene acceptor active layers.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Kashaf enjoys exploring the intersection of science and technology through reading and engaging in hands-on experiments. Her hobbies also include traveling and experiencing different cultures, which allow her to expand her perspectives and approach challenges creatively. These personal interests, combined with her academic background, drive her curiosity to explore new frontiers in material science.
What excites Kashaf about the EIFFEL project is the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy, specifically through the development of high-performance photovoltaic devices. She is eager to apply her knowledge of thermoelectric to optimize non-fullerene acceptor materials, a challenge that aligns perfectly with her research interests. The interdisciplinary nature of the EIFFEL project, combined with its innovative approach to solar energy, makes it an exciting platform for her to further her academic and professional growth.
