EIFFEL is on a mission to shape the future of organic photovoltaics and electronics by cultivating the talents of 10 outstanding Doctoral Candidates (DCs). Our training program is designed to equip them with cutting-edge research, academic excellence, and professional skills, positioning them as the next generation of European experts in this dynamic field.

Optimizing Employability:

Our program goes beyond traditional academic pathways. We focus on optimizing the employability of our DCs by diversifying their career options, preparing them for roles in both academic and non-academic sectors. This approach opens doors to a multitude of job opportunities.

Building Academic and Professional Competences:

EIFFEL places a strong emphasis on developing the academic and professional competences of our DCs. This includes fostering personal leadership, promoting open science, and instilling skills in dissemination, exploitation, and outreach.

Commitment to Success:

All appointments within the EIFFEL program are for a duration of 36 months. In cases where a 4-year PhD trajectory is common (UG, TUC, TUD, UMONS), the respective beneficiaries pledge to provide one year of funding from other sources, ensuring the successful completion of the DCs' degrees.

Addressing Research Challenges:

To address the research challenges set by EIFFEL, the consortium has strategically planned a total of 360 researcher months. This comprehensive approach ensures that our DCs have the time and resources needed to contribute meaningfully to the field.
