Let’s get to know Meenakshy!

Meenakshy Suresh is a passionate young research aspirant from India, who has built a strong academic and research foundation in the field of organic electronics. She earned her master’s degree with first rank from the School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India, after completing her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Calicut in Kerala. She did her Master thesis at India Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata where she chose to focus on organic electronics, particularly the synthesis of organic semiconductor molecules and the development of energy efficient OFETs.

Her interest in organic electronics was further sparked by the developments in Organic Solar Cells. Interested in developing novel organic molecules, processing methodologies and characterisation of OPV devices, she is excited as a doctoral student currently working on “Synthesis and characterization of functionalized NFAs for solution-processed sq-BHJ and BHJ OSCs” under the guidance of Dr. Philippe Blanchard at CNRS in France. Through this, she aims to contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions.

Outside of her academic endeavours, Meenakshy is an artistic and creative individual who enjoys sketching, painting, music, dance, hiking, and traveling, reflecting her diverse and dynamic interests.

What excites Meenakshy about being part of the EIFFEL network is its integration of diverse research objectives, all aimed at the sustainable development of Organic Photovoltaics. She is eager to contribute to the development of NFAs and NFA-based OSCs and looks forward to building her long-term research career with this exceptional network of scientists.
